1. What are LV, MV and HV power cables?

Low, medium and high-voltage power cables refer to cables designed for different voltage levels. Insulation: XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene, mainstream) . Shielding: Conductor shield + insulation shield

Sheath: PE, PVC, or LSZH . Armor: Steel tape,steel wire (for underground/mechanical stress)

Excellent insulation performance, low dielectric loss

High voltage resistance, stable operation under medium loads

Weatherproof, moisture-proof, corrosion-resistant service life (≥30 years under normal use)

Operating temperature: -30℃~90℃

2.3 HV (High Voltage)  5kV~500kV

2.3.1 Structure

Conductor: High-purity stranded copper (with anti-corrosion coating)

Insulation: XLPE (high-density) or mass-impregnated paper

Shielding: Inner semi-conductive shield + outer metal shield

Sheath: High-density PE (HDPE) + armor (steel wire for deep burial)

Additional: Water-blocking structure (for wet environments)

2.3.2 Main Performance

Ultra-high voltage resistance, low transmission loss .

Strong mechanical strength, suitable for long-distance transmission.

Excellent thermal stability, high short-circuit current capacity Resistance to chemical erosion and environmental aging.

Operating temperature: -20℃~90℃ (special grades up to 125℃).
